HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Not actively at the time

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have limited experience so far, but I look forward to the time when I can share my couch and invite people in. And I look forward to traveling again and surfing couches and connecting with folks along the way.

When I lived in Maine, my housemates were Couchsurfing hosts and I enjoyed spending time with the Couchsurfers who visited. We hiked through Acadia National Park together, made food together, and drank tea and shared travel stories.

Interests

My range of interests is vast and ever growing.

This past year, I have delved into herbal studies and doula studies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

As part of the school program at Navdanya farm, we took the bus to teach children in an afterschool program in a slum in Dehradun. I loaded my backpack with posters, markers, and all the materials to make a vermicomposting unit (a worm composter). This included burlap bags, examples of compostable materials, and a jar of worms.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to teach what I know about gardening, soil microbiology, botany and the intrinsic relationship people and plants have.

I can share what I am learning about food as medicine, growing herbal medicine, creating herbal preparations.

I am learning about women's sexual and reproductive health, pregnancy, birth and breast-feeding. I would love to hold space for and I would be honored to hear any stories you would like to share with me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Mugs of tea, gluten-free homemade foods, my cats, light cleaning, maps of this area and ideas of what to do in this neck of the woods.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Ecuador, France, Germany, India, Japan, Nepal, Netherlands, United Kingdom
