Overview
About Me
I love the earth and the amazing relationship I have with it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have used CouchSurfing on several occasions during my travels and had many enriching experiences, and I've hosted as much as my schedule allows. Currently, my husband and I live on Donner Lake, so we get a lot of requests. I've been officially, and unofficially, doing this sort of thing for several years. Couchsurfing is an awesome way to meet interesting people and 'travel' when I don't have the time or funds to do so.

Music, Movies, and Books
BIG fan of authors Henry Miller, Charles Bukowski, Edward Abbey, and Anais Nin--when I have time for pleasure reading. Otherwise, I spend my days reading academic articles and books for research...but those are not as fun to talk about over drinks and dinner. I also have a crush on David Byrne (music, movies, and writing).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Went skinny dipping with penguins in South Africa.
Went scuba diving in Thailand and Egypt.
Went hot springin' in the eastern Sierra during a huge snow storm.
Rode a horse at full speed.
Skied Ja-pow.
Went hot springin' at an Egyptian oasis.
Married the man of my dreams on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
This list goes on and on... ask me in person.
