About Me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of meeting people from all over the world in a mostly stress-free environment. I also would like for people to see that there is kindness all around and to teach my children the same. Also knowing that I have helped someone to have a more intimate view of the region where I live and the people who live there.
Interests
I am not a super cook, but I do like preparing food together with people or learning about new foods or recipes. I LOVE music, all kinds and also appreciate sharing about that and learning about new artists, especially ones who don't always get airtime.

Teach, Learn, Share
I can share about my culture and also about the Dutch culture, as my partner is Dutch. I can teach a bit about weather and geography and we have a lovely single-family home in North Holland, complete with Chickens and a cat. A very rustic place 20 minutes from the beaches of the North Sea, the Alkmaar Cheese Market in the summer and about an hour via train to Amsterdam. I also know a lot about or have been to lots of places in the Netherlands so if you're looking to explore, I've got you covered!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My love of people and sometimes, if I can bring or find the right spices, I can make a mean taco or burrito. I can also share that Americans are not all that everyone sees in the media. It would be nice to be able to share the side of America that is kind, generous, thoughtful, educated and cares very much for the rest of the world and those who are living in it. Also that there are a lot of tolerant people out there who accept everyone as they are.
