About Me
CURRENT MISSION
It is my mission to explore, create, and serve humanity to the best of my humble abilities.
ABOUT ME
I appreciate solitude, but I love people. Conversations on how to make a better world through education, sustainability, community, spirituality, and such keep me motivated and involved. Song circles, craft circles, and story circles are also some of my most preferred past times. Let us all learn from each other. (Books are good, too.)
I recently moved from lovely Eugene, Oregon to Saratoga Springs, New York to be close to my sister and two small nieces. I am excited for this sweet opportunity and to be at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is beautiful. There is so much to see and do, so many relationships to help me learn about myself and humanity in general. Life is good and even when it's hard, I feel interested in finding out what could possibly come next. Life is an adventure. The choices are endless and the manifestations are magical. Anything can happen and it often does.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've experienced three couches through this site in El Paso, Texas, Bend, Oregon and Heraklion, Crete, Greece. Friends sparked my curiosity about its potential. I can envision taking a larger role in the project in the future, if it lives up to the descriptions and experiences that have been expressed to me. I am currently living with my sister and her family. It’s a new situation and I haven’t convinced them to host quite yet... ;)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am blessed with many friends and open doors. I've lived with a big family and in intentional community, sharing space means constant consideration and communication. This is true especially in someone else's home, even those of dear friends and family. With a welcoming invitation to "make myself at home", I keep the sinks and counters neat and clean and confine myself to organized stacks in my designated corner. I also have an open door to many friends and friends of friends who pass my way.
I have been welcomed by couch surfing hosts in Texas, Oregon, and even Greece! All sweet, blessed, memorable experiences. I hope to host and surf more myself soon.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love listening to live acoustic music. Love singing with guitar, piano, drums, and other voices. Love many kinds of music: world music, folk music, punk music, big bands, cello, local music, anything that I can move to or sing along with. Prefer not to watch television out of habit, but indulge upon occasion. I love a good movie! Read fiction with good characters that make me think, love fantasy and self help books: Herman Hesse, Tom Robbins, Diana Gabaldon, Joseph Spenelli, to name a few authors I've enjoyed lately.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The California Redwoods make my smile widen and breath deepen.
The Colorado Rockies make my heart beat quicken.
The Washington Olympic Peninsula makes my adventurous spirit fly.
The Mayan pyramids make my head spin.
The London theatre makes my creative juices percolate.
The Italian/ Roman ruins make my jaw drop.
The Grecian waters make my soul soar and my heart swell.
The Spanish Camino makes my courage and confidence escalate to new heights.
The New York Adirondack Mountains beckon me to explore.
But the beautiful Oregon Cascade Mountains always bring tears of joy to my eyes.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am willing to learn anything! Right now ukulele and sign language are high on the list. I would love to teach and share my limited knowledge about anything that I have an interest in (see interests) - just ask.
