About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel around Nova Scotia

ABOUT ME

I'm friendly, mellow and down to earth. I thrive off of new experiences and am open to almost anything. I am a visual artist working with embroidery, fibres and physical materials such as pig intestine, dried squids and hair. I am most excited by seeing the power of the small in nature. Travel is extremely important for me and I am always eager to explore new landscapes and ecosystems.

PHILOSOPHY

The closer you look at the minute details the larger they become, the larger the spaces in between them become. I believe in exploration, always seeking out new knowledge, perspectives and having new experiences.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have used couching surfing on a couple trips and have had amazing experiences. I can cook or teach new skills (like paper making or embroidery) in exchange for the coach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I used couch surfing when travelling down the west coast and met many awesome people!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had my first solo art show in 2010, creating thousands of tiny egg sculptures out of pig intestine, covering the walls of a small hallway, referencing insect fecundity.
I went to burning man in 2006 which I can't begin to describe accurately.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can show you how to make paper, paper mache, embroider and dye fibre with natural materials. I also like cooking and can make a great omelette. I have experience with horses, farming and gardening.
