ABOUT ME

I am an ocean girl – I breathe the ebb and flow, desire the infinity of its heartbeat. My feet crave no shoes, warm sand, and cool water. My body requires the sun like a flower. I adore long walks on the beach, an uphill climb in the woods amongst tall maple trees and granite. I savor dancing moments under a rainy sky, the feel of a raindrop on sun-kissed skin, and the smell of the air when dew drops fall on dry gravel or hot tar. I am a romantic. I believe that all you need is love. There is nothing like reading a book on a rainy day, cuddled in down blankets, silky pjs, and sipping Ghirardelli hot chocolate, but there is also nothing like immersing your body in a deluge of loud beating music, moving your body to the rhythm. I like writing, dancing, singing, athletics, mud, and traveling the world I am selfish but full of unselfish moments. A friend is the strongest bond . I have many but hold few close they are my sisters and brothers. The Colesseum and the Roman Forum is one of the most amazing sights I have ever experienced. My favorite color is anything ocean blue and deep tropical hues. My favorite music is anything that makes me move. I do not like chocolate ice cream. And like many people I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up. I refuse to grow up. Everything is sweeter when he is around.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I am here as a reference and guide to New England and all my travels. I cannot host, and I am not in an area to be active with a face to face community. I am here for support, for meeting people, and for inspiration.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

France! The whole process was daunting at times, but proved to be worth the effort and persistence.

Interests

Too many things! Science, whales, nudibrancs, the ocean, corals, diving, sparkly things, clothes, shoes, purses, shopping, writing, raves, concerts, keeping in touch with friends, going on spontaneous adventures, reading, discussing literature, concepts and ideas, getting to meet new people (the bar is such a great way to do this), oh yeah micro brews, wine tasting, fancy dinners, not so fancy dinners, etc....

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies, music and books... My favorite tales of all time are The Hungry Caterpillar, The Little Prince, The Great Gatsby, and Sea Dreams by Tennyson. Books should be creative - I have read a wide variety of literature and find that in all genres - in the end, have connections, you just have to be prepared to look harder than you are used to sometimes.

I like movies that highlight the fine points in life - that truly focus in on our imperfections and through a series of events portrays these insecurities and self defining moments as 'beautiful'. Garden State is a prime example, as well as Love Actually. But I love movies like Snatch - torturing your brain to follow a story and the way in which so many lives can be intertwined. And then there are the cartoons - Finding Nemo and The Incredibles. And like most girls, I am always up for a good adventure with Captain Jack Sparrow and Will Turner.

And Music - if it moves me, then I like it.
