About Me

CURRENT MISSION

make connections and engage in radical economics at the same time

ABOUT ME

Isn't it grand when life is spacious enough to allow for time to play music, forage and grow and ferment all kinds of things, learn earth skills, enjoy a fine cup of tea, and listen to the wind? I am infatuated with all things mycelial, especially the eating part! The Mississippi River has a serious hold on my heart, and I'm looking for more ways to protect all the waters that flow into it.

PHILOSOPHY

It seems like we are at a great juncture in history as the industrial complex's extractive practices can no longer be supported by the earth. As people start to lose heart, the illness of the earth is mirrored in the illness and pain in our bodies and spirits. I aim to help with the healing and reimagining of what our lives could look like. To be a vessel for life and love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've couch surfed a few times, and have had really great experiences. I've lived in shared living spaces a good deal, from a housing cooperative to living all cramped together in research stations and bamboo houses in the jungle, so it's safe to say I like guests and can be respectful of different preferences and perspectives.

Interests

love - doesn't it all come back to that?
local food
lovely insects, amphibians, and the less-noticed plants
lore, storytelling, leisure
learning from others
letting go of expectations (when appropriate, naturally)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Wandering, somewhat lost, down a river in the coastal rainforest of Ecuador, I looked down and had stepped mere inches from the tail of a massive anaconda with a bloated belly full of food.

yoga!
fermentation skills and share cultures to get you started
mushroom and wild edible/herb identification

What I Can Share with Hosts
