About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet some super rad people, create some everlasting bonds, and see the world while I'm at it.

ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old, young, spontaneous, adventurous individual looking to see the world. I decided a masters degree sounded fun, and packed my bags for the UK which is where I lived for one year. I studied childhood and early years while also playing football for Leeds Beckett University. I just recently quit my 9-5 job and opened up a hostel in my hometown which I know will bring many great stories and adventures.

Tony's Place, which is the hostel I own and manage is Boise's only. Originally a 1920's home, the building has been fully remodelled to fit our traveller's needs. I have backpacked all over the world and have attempted to incorporate the best parts of each hostel I visited into Tony's Place. Created and managed by backpackers, we know what our clientele desires! It is very spacious for large groups and was designed to encourage meeting other travellers, with four common areas (two of which are outside).

Our location is hard to beat if convenience is what you're after. We are minutes from the airport, train depot, coffee shops, restaurants, and downtown Boise. We are happy to help plan trips to our beautiful rivers, wine country and mountain ranges which are all less than a 45 minute drive from the hostel.

Music, Movies, and Books

Give it to me, I'll read it, watch it or listen to it. I'm very open to new music, books and movies but generally tend to enjoy biographies, documentaries, and string band music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a trip to Southeast Asia a few summers ago that included the Phillipines, Malaysia, Singapore, and Boracay. I can honestly say the most amazing part of the trip was some volunteer work done at a camp for abandoned individuals with special needs. They were the most beautiful people I have ever encountered. It was the most humbling experience of my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I want to learn from YOU. Teach me. If you find you have interests in psychology (specifically child development) that's something I am passionate about and have been studying for the past four years. I'm a nerd when it comes to my studies but also really enjoy new, fun, ridiculous ideas that turn into only the best conversations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a host of silly stories from my travels, information about what to see and do while in Boise, and also some laughs.
