I want to live my life, to experience as much as possible. And I want to touch as many lives in a positive way as I can.

ABOUT ME

I'm a work in progress. Life may be plain now, but I've got high hopes for the future. Right now I'm working towards my goal of teaching English in Japan. In the mean time, I want to experience life in as many interesting ways as possible.

I'm a total nerd. I play video games, watch geeky television, spend way too much time on the internet, and listen to audio books about the history of the universe on my way to work. I don't let this completely define me, but I definitely embrace my nerdy side.

When I'm not locked up in my apartment, nerding it up, I like to explore my city, or discover new ones. I've lived and visited all over the country. I definitely have wanderlust, and it's put me into some interesting situations! I love to get lost, you never know what you might find. As an odd antithesis to this, though, I absolutely love the GPS on my phone. Speaking of, I love geocaching!

I'm also a burner. My first (and second) burn was at Burning Flipside outside of Austin. This year I'm looking forward to going to Burning Alchemy.

Aaand, that's all I can pull out of my brain at the moment. I'll end on a bit of clandestine phrasing: The narwhal bacons at midnight. If you don't get it, then don't worry. You're not supposed to. ;)

I just started, so give me a chance to figure that out! In the mean time, I can at least say I have an open couch.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've definitely slept on a few couches in my life. Even very recently, which is part of what gave me the idea to join up. A couple of people who barely knew me (we had met only twice) let me stay on their couch for an extended period of time while I got on my feet after they were pulled out from under me.

Now that I have my own place, complete with couch, I want to show my karmic gratitude!

Interests

Well, beyond my nerdy interests listed above, I also play go, an Asian strategy game.

I'm an amateur hypnotist, and I used to have my own weekly stage hypnosis show. I still enjoy practicing, especially on new subjects, if you're feeling bold. ;)
