Interested in two trips at the moment: Northern Europe (Germany, Belgium, Scandinavia) & Central/South America (after learning some Spanish)

Easy going, open minded, love to travel, meet friendly people, let loose, have fun.

I'm very comfortable in social situations and meeting new people, have traveled a lot, been around all sorts of people, worked in hostels, etc.

Heard about couch surfing for years, but never had a reason or opportunity to use it...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a traveler, and I like meeting other travelers. And I would like to try couch surfing in Northern Europe this coming summer hopefully.

Interests

Academically, history, finance, psychology.

Culture (food, drink, architecture, belief systems), Europe, South America, travel in general (of course).

I can appreciate nature, but I'm more of a city kid (New Orleans, New York).

Music, Movies, and Books

Rock. Kinda old fashioned... 70s, early 2000s revival, David Bowie, Blondie, the strokes, Franz Ferdinand, the killers, Kings of Leon, muse, the pixies, arctic monkeys, arcade fire.

In general, I like Quentin Tarantino, Wes Anderson (the grand budapest hotel, the royal tennenbaums, the life aquatic), P. T. Anderson (boogie nights, magnolia, there will be blood), David Fincher (fight club, the social network).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

2001: I was living in NY (Manhattan) for 9/11 (surreal time, clearly).

2014: lived in Sydney, Australia for 10 weeks, saw the Great Barrier Reef, then spent 5 weeks in SE Asia (Bali, Thailand, Angkor Wat, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong).
