ABOUT ME

I'm Harriet :)
I was born in England but I grew up in Ireland where my family still lives and is somewhere I will always return to.
I feel the need to move around alot.
When I was 18 I went to Leeds to go to art school.
When I graduated I panicked about having nowhere to go so I randomly decided Hong Kong would be a good idea so I got a job and 2 weeks later I was there. For the first year I lived on an outer island where everyone had a story to tell but were also crazy and I would get a boat to work everyday. Then I moved to the city for a year. People in Hong Kong love their phones and because of this are disconnected with each other, I don't want to get like this, I want to connect with the world around me.
When I lived in HK I visited Taipei and loved it.
After two years in Hong Kong, I went back to England and after a month there decided that Taiwan was where I wanted to be.
Now I live in Taipei.

When times are tough remember: People care, things matter and there are good days.

Making things, creating, eating cool food, listening, watching films, meditation, trying new things, I enjoy reading I just don't make the time to enough. I am trying to learn to read and write traditional Chinese which is damn difficult but it's fun and beautiful.

I love so many films, I especially like those strange dreamy ones where nothing really happens, to name a few favourites: Fight Club, Ghost World, True Romance, The Boat That Rocked, Almost Famous, Lost In Translation, Garden State, Submarine, Amelie, Before Sunrise.

Pink Floyd, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Beatles, old songs about love cause I'm romantic n stuff..

Leaving behind the life I had and love to move to Hong Kong to live and work.

I spent more than 26 hours watching films, more than once.

Учу, учусь, делюсь опытом и информацией

I could teach you how to make a bird out of paper that flaps it's wings when you pull its tail or I could just make one for you and you can play with it and take it home with you.

It would be cool to do a collaborative art project.

I can't sing but I like to play the african drum along to people jamming, I picked it up a little after working festivals for 2 summers from some north african musicians I worked with and got the chance to do it again at moon beach parties in HK but I'm no good (and I'm not being modest) it's just something I have enjoyed. I would really love someone to teach me guitar and I would like listening to people jam. Teach me some curse words in a new language.
