Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to explore, learn, speak in broken spanish, and dance
ABOUT ME
I love sarcasm, doing things outside, and dancing. I am usually up for most activities but at times prefer spending an evening in drinking cheap wine and conversing. I'm currently finishing up my medical degree and plan on going into Internal Medicine/Pediatrics.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm not sure about a 'personal philosophy'...But one day I hope to be useful to others. I want to work to improve the quality of life and health of others.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have a lot of pride in Kansas City, MO and the Mid-west in general. I want to provide folks with a nice place to stay and share my love of K.C. with others. I hope that others around the globe will want to do the same for me.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
My roommates and I have hosted several individuals and couples traveling through Kansas City. I have only surfed once, however it was a great experience and I look forward to doing it more.

Music, Movies, and Books
It's difficult for me to select favorites.
Books: Medical textbooks (mostly all I have time for), Mountains Beyond Mountains, Harry Potter, David Sedaris, Fast Food Nation, Brave New World, Edgar Allan Poe, Jane Austin Romances (guilty pleasure)
Movies/TV: The Daily Show, This American Life, Documentaries, Arrested Development
Music: The Beatles, Belle & Sebastian, Crystal Castles, Kanye West, Simon & Garfunkel, The Four Tops, Arcade Fire, Bob Dylan, Otis Redding, Camera Obscura, The Strokes, The Decemberists, Beyoncé and others
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Medicine has given me access to some pretty intimate aspects of human existence--birth, death, human relationships and the way we interact, etc. It's always very humbling to see the raw emotions of complete strangers.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: I full of random fun facts and stories from medicine. I can also teach you how to patch a pair of jeans in 5 mins.
Learn: I want to learn Spanish...and every type of dancing.
