About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Looking for my place? Developing my career? Keeping fit and healthy? Reading and learning? Extending my social connections? Cooking something different from time to time?
I always thought that the best way to avoid frustration and reaching your goals is precisely giving small steps but walking without stop.

ABOUT ME
For some mysterious reason, it isn't the first time that other locals think that I'm foreigner. But yeah, I'm originally from Tenerife.

As the vast majority of the couchsurfers, I love meeting new people and learn through their eyes and experiences. I consider myself a very agreeable person because even when I have strong opinions about many matters, I always try to understand other point of view and why things are in they way they are. I know my own limitations and I consider my duty to try to improve myself. I'm not perfect and I can't be. But I try to polish myself.

PHILOSOPHY

Breath deeply and think that everything is relative and just concert about what really matters. I guess that through the years I've been following a more stoic approach in they way of thinking.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

From time to time I can host, depending on my possibilities. Also you can just write me asking for advices or what do or what visit in the island.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far, I've had the wonderful chance of sharing very enriching experiences as a guest and hosting. Moreover I've met many people thanks to couchsurfing in events, through the hangout applications same in Tenerife or when I'm travelling.

Interests

Of course one of my biggest interest is traveling. Traveling is not a matter of spend money, traveling is a matter of invest on oneself. Sometimes I've heard that traveling is overrated but in my case it's just something that I need, living in an island has many positive sides but sometimes I miss other outlooks.

Also, one of my favourite activities is hiking, this island is a perfect place for it and it takes a lot of time to get to know it. And if the path includes stopping for a while in an isoloted beach, much better.
I deeply feel the need of escaping to the nature whenever I can, the mountains and the ocean made me charge my energies to make me able to stand the normal routine. For some reason, returning home after hiking and climbing mountains makes me feel as if I had fulfill my duty.

Music, Movies, and Books

About books, I don't know from where I can start, mabye with Dune, LOTR, Stephen King, Arturo Pérez-Reverte, Terry Pratchet, The Count of Monte Cristo, Perfume, The picture of Dorian Gray...

I can keep the whole day listening: Indie music, Bruce Springsteen, London Grammar, The war on drugs, Florence and the Machine, Jezabels, Empire of sun, King of Leon, Quique González, Antonio Vega, Of Monster and Men, Lord Huron, Bunbury...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I wouldn't say incredible but some things that I've made and I keep good memories from there are:
-Seeing the sunrise from Teide is an experience I've had the chance of living twice. Also the Old Peak, next to the Teide where you can contemplate an amazing 700 meters of diameter crater. Hard summit where you barely meet others mountaineers. I also can add being a week among berbers and climbing to the Toubkal in the Atlas mountains.
Another experience that I gladly remember is being on a train for 26h from Bucarest to Estambul.
Getting lost in the second necropolis in the world placed in Havana was also a cool experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy good conversations about all kind of topics. About my island and local culture, history, politics, travelling, geography, ways of living, music...
On the other hand, if you want to get rid of Windows, I can help you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Showing around the island either by car or hiking, homemade food, enjoying time together... when I host, I do it because I want to give my best.
