My name is Hedvig and I am a 29-year-old Swedish Ph.D. student who lives in Utrecht in the Netherlands. I live here with my boyfriend and our two cats, and I do research in Amsterdam at The Netherlands Cancer Institute. I love to travel and I love music. Music is what brought me to The Netherlands where I moved 4 years ago to finish my master studies. I haven't left yet :)

Since I am a student I'm always short of money, but I don't want that to stop me from what I love. I also like to meet new people and learn about different cultures. I think the best way to really experience a foreign culture is to do it with a local. I lived by myself in Rome and in Milan and I came alone to Utrecht as well, and sometimes I travel by myself.

Intereses

I have many interests in different kinds. I love music and festivals, science, cooking, food, hiking, biking, culture, museums, nature, animal sanctuaries, environment and spending time with my friends.

Música, películas y libros

I listen to all kinds of music, from electronic to classic music. I used to play the piano when I still lived at home and I am looking to start playing again when I am done with my studies. I love to listen and dance to good music with friends or go to an orchestra, live concert or festival.

I watch a lot of series and movies. I love Star Wars and Marvels, and also animated movies. I also watch tons of documentaries and nature shows.

Moved to Rome. I love that city, it is still my favorite city in the world. I love the culture and the atmosphere. It's so unique. And the food is just amazing.

I went on a spiritual journey to Peru, in the mountains and in the jungle. An amazing trip of a lifetime.

Following my heart and moved to The Netherlands. After severely sick for a few months I decided to leave Sweden to follow my heart and move to The Netherlands. A big part of my love for The Netherlands is the music scene.

I know how to speak Swedish, English, Dutch and Italian. I also know a lot in the field of biotechnology and other sciences. I have been a dancer, but I don't know how much I can teach. ;)

I can share a lot of stories from my trips around the world and my friends always ask me for traveling or festival advice!
