ABOUT ME

Hello, I am Heelyeon from South Korea. I stayed at Manchester as a language school student in 2012. Now, I am an English teacher in South Korea. I like teaching and children, so it is a perfect job for me. I'd like to have lots of various experiences through trevelling as many countries as I can so that I can teach them to my further students.

I like meeting new people. I am really interested in foreign people and culture. Different people who have different culture from different countries always made me excited!
PHILOSOPHY

I believe that if I really want to do something and try to achieve it, I can do anything and finally, I can get what I want. The word 'impossible' is a bone idle person's excuse.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I got some excellent experiences in Ireland, Netherlands, England, France and Spain. All of my hosts were great and really kind to me. If I have any chance to host someone, I would like to!

Interests

I like sight-seeing, going to the museums and galleries, and even going off the beaten track. At home, I like reading books. In Korea, I used to meet my friends and watch films.
I can play the guitar and the piano. I am not very good at but because my father loves music, I had grown up with music. That's why I like music.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At first, when I went to the Liverpool Cathedral, I was awestruck. It was massive, old, and delicate. I like old traditional buildings.
Second, It was a Irish day which I can listen to the Irish music and watch the Irish dancing. It was delightful.
Third, on Chinese New Year's day, I went to see a dragon parade. As we don't have a parade on New year's day in Korea, it was interesting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would like to learn different culture and thoughts around the world. I didn't have enough time to cook in Korea because I worked from 1 to 10 pm, but here, I help my host mom cook and bake. I really enjoy cooking! I can learn your cuisine and vice versda.
