About Me

I am a university student in Boston, USA and study International Relations with a concentration on Middle Eastern Studies. I am learning Arabic and French and am incredibly passionate about going into refugee advocacy work in the future. I am half German and have lived between the two countries all my life.
Currently I am studying French in Aix-en-Provence and have fallen in love with the south of France!

I love yoga and live a lifestyle that is very in tune to nature and my surroundings. I really enjoy getting to know people and learning from their experiences and ideas.

When traveling, I especially like to discover new foods that are part of your cuisine. I love cooking, and am an avid cook when at home and will likely try to remake those dishes back at home. I also enjoy relaxing evenings, getting to know each other over a glass of wine.

I am a big nature lover and outdoors person and love exploring new places on foot.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet new people and learn about the culture of the places I go. I like exploring not only the tourist centers of cities but meeting the locals. I am not interested in the typical tourist packaged vacation itineraries, instead I want to get a real feel for the place I am at.

There’s a lot of books i love, On the road by Jack Kerouac seems fitting to list here

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to Palestine after high school to volunteer as an English and French teacher in UNRWA refugee camps. It was one of the best and most transformative experiences I have ever had, I learned so much and was exposed to so much generosity and warmth. It changed my view on the world and steered a new path in my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I moved around a lot and would love to share some crazy experiences. Also I love hearing other people's stories traveling and living in places I haven't been.

I want to learn about your local cuisine and favorite dishes so I can remake and experiment when I’m back in boston! I also love just hearing your ideas and thoughts on life, it is so enriching and tends to broaden everyone’s horizons to become better people.
