I think that this is an incredible network for making meaningful connections with locals, which is one of my favourite aspects of traveling. I have benefited greatly from this network and it is my hope to provide a safe space for other travelers (if I have a suitable living arrangement) or simply to meet and share in adventure with other nomadic minds!

兴趣

I have many passions and innumerable interests, but the ones I care the most deeply about are music, food, social justice, healing/compassion and the quest for knowledge.
I think that music is a simple and beautiful way of connecting to people and I always travel with my small guitar in order to perpetuate that connection. In my opinion, food and farming form an important foundation for sustainability and social justice. If we are not well fed, and do not respect the soil from which our survival comes, then how can we respect each other?
In a similar vein, I think that activism and compassion need each other. We cannot productively change the world with violence, and we cannot heal without understanding. I strive to learn and practice both of these areas.
This quest for knowledge I speak of is probably the most important for it encompasses everything. School is learning, sure, but so is travel, so are books, so is gardening, so are meaningful conversations and I think that that is one of the most beautiful aspects of being human: the acquisition of wisdom.
