Hi! My name is Heidi. I spend my summers farming and my winters working at a Scandinavian gift shop in Minneapolis, MN, US.

When I'm not farming, I enjoy spending time with friends, making new friends, trying new recipes, hiking, mushroom hunting, and knitting.

Over the past seven years, I've worked with vegetables, grass fed beef, organic apples, chickens, sheep, goats, and pigs. I'm working towards buying my own farm where I will raise chickens and sheep.

I love that couchsurfing helps me learn about the place I'm visiting from people who live there! I love seeing new landscapes and trying new foods while I am traveling, but the main reason I travel is to learn about a new place from the people who know it best.

On my trip to Iceland and Italy this August, I'm hoping to meet some folks who raise sheep!
