Being partially disabled by a rare auto immune condition (Dysautonomia) only recently diagnosed, in a system that lets far too many fall through the cracks, survival has been at the mercy of whom would share a home because shelters are not an option (not for lack of trying, ended up in hospital as they are able-bodied only).

Determined to live life instead of just surviving it, I came up with a plan for a long term housing solution and started a fundraiser to buy a bit of land and a tiny house. www.gofundme.com/HomeforHeidi

I now have a backer for enough to get it started and am looking to meet and stay with potential neighbors around Los Angeles County to research local properties in person!

I am tidy, hard working, creative, and a Big Geek. I need to lay down and rest often, can't sleep if there's tv/radio on, and use medical marijuana with a vaporizer for chronic pains, but I do not need to be taken care of and have no interest in sex/relationships at this time. I can use task rabbit for assist with chores, lyft for rides, and order food for days I cannot cook for myself. Technology is wonderful.

Excited to meet new people and explore new areas! I love adventures big and small. Want to go to a museum? They have wheelchairs available for patrons that can't walk long! Want to play boardgames while watching anime? Yay!! Too busy to socialize but supportive of the arts? I'll quietly create something possibly inspired by you and/or your home! Want to join me for a creative project? AWESOME. Need talent for your film/shoot/song/etc? Boom, I'll be right there. Don't want to go to that event alone? I'm with ya.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I last worked as a model, I traveled often and had many great varied experiences staying with friends, photographers, and often both of their families and friends. When some came to my area of the world sometimes they'd stay with me and/or we'd work together again. It was a wonderful experience that helped shape me and produced some great art. Some of that art has traveled more of the world than I have! As I explore many kinds of art again as my health improves, traveling to create it is back on. (Whoohoo!!) I would love to meet more talented, inspiring, creative and proactive people on that journey.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like most music. What is most favorite varies but a rarely don't smile at metal, heavy symphony, and/or strong vocals.

I love Anime, Animation, and Sci-Fi/Fantasy movies and tv the best. I really don't like watching horror or scary things even though I'm very good at creating it. I watch many many things with subtitles from multiple different countries with great enjoyment. 12 Years Promise and La Nina are two recent favorites.

Books I love and miss reading without migraines greatly. eBooks are just not the same joy. I rarely read the same thing twice but some have made that list: Ender's Game, Daughter of the Forest, Dragonsbane, Harry Potter series, Hobbit/Lord of the Rings series and side stories, Wheel of Time, Jane Eyre, The Midwives' Apprentice, Mila 18, Sandman Comicbook series, Neverwhere, Good Omens, off the top of my head.
