I work from home about 80% of the time and I have a very flexible schedule; Mike works for the county here on the mountain and has a pretty predictable schedule so it's easy to plan around. We love to cook & entertain. We both ride Harley's and enjoy time out or time in. We both love to interact with new people and are generally easy going - we have a great group of friends who love to meet new people as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love to travel AND to meet new people. I love being a tourist in the SoCal area even though I've lived here for years. Since my children were small (they're all grown & gone now) I've hosted a number of exchange students from all over the world, so I'm not unfamiliar with having "strangers" in my house. When I was younger I traveled quite a bit - in the US & internationally - and I often stayed with people I met while traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books

Very eclectic taste in music - anything from the crooners, to country to rock - really most anything. Mike is the movie buff - I'm a cheap date as I rarely remember movies until I've seen them multiple times. His movie tastes are as varied as our musical taste. Books - we both read voraciously classics to trashy novels to non-fiction biographies to other sorts of non-fiction.
