ABOUT ME

Hey! I'm a 26-year-old lass from Urjala, currently living in Helsinki and working as a teacher. I'm easy-going, helpful and friendly and looking forward to meeting new people and exploring different cultures. I love good music, good company, movies and sports. My exchange year in Sheffield, next to beautiful English countryside and the gorgeous Peak District, made me enthusiastic about climbing and all sorts of outdoor activities, and about folk music.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been mainly surfing so far, which has given me the opportunity to meet the most lovely and amazing people! Currently I'm not hosting, but I'm up for a cup of coffee!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mainly because I've been travelling a lot since I joined CS, I haven't yet hosted people. I have, however, surfed a lot in England, Ireland and continental Europe. I was introduced to couchsurfing by a friend before I went interrailing, and since that I've found couchsurfing the best way to travel when you want to meet new cool people and get to now more about different countries and cultures.

Interests

I like to explore new places on foot and by bike and always try to carry my camera with me. Almost every day you'll come across situations or sceneries that you just have to memorialise in pictures, whether that be a nice sunset or a cat in a pub. I enjoy clever books and films, witty lyrics and good laughs with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing on the top of a hill in Zagreb in front of a medieval fortress, looking down at the city over the misty valley. Everything was so peaceful and quiet that it felt as if the time had stopped. I'm amazed by small everyday things, as well, though. Doesn't always have to be something sublime.
