About Me

I'm a very out-going person who enjoys travelling, making new friends and spreading happiness.
I try to be nice to everyone I meet and to empathize with others. Because I believe if everybody can show a little bit more love and understanding, the world will be even more beautiful with people all over wearing smiles. :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've only couchsurfed once when I was 18 in Nanjing, China. I asked a stranger for some directions and he ended up touring me around. We had a nice chat, so he asked if I've got a place to stay already and offered to help me with asking his female friends. That night and the following nights I stayed in a girls' dormitory in Dong-Nan University, and hanged out with the students there who were all very hospitable and nice.
(On the same trip, I met my boyfriend, so afterwards we usually travel together and stay at cheaper B&Bs or hostels.)
It's been 4 years from now (and I guess I am not that fearless to go home with a random stranger on the street anymore either). Still, I believe that meeting new friends is one of the best parts during travel and hope to travel in this way sometimes too.

I'm currently living in a students' dormitory and can't be a host due to school regulations. But after moving to Berlin in the summer, I might be able to have some couchsurfers over. ;)

Interests

I enjoy traveling, hiking and climbing. To keep myself in good fit for trips and adventures, I run a lot and participate in marathons occasionally.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Other than seeing beautiful sceneries and having spirits refreshed, I enjoy hiking because I get to learn a lot from nature and from people I climb with. On the way, I realized how much difference perseverance can make, how lucky it is to feel fear (I think it's what keeps one cautious and enables one to reach the further), and how important it is to place your bets and survive them. The mountains, like a mother, would always remind me to view things in large and deliberate delicately.
I also learned during the journeys who I am, how strong and weak I am. No matter how extreme the weather, she'd always remain unswerved in a humble attidude, which is what I find very fascinating and impressive.
To me, the most amazing thing I've ever done is to have started hiking. :)
