About Me

I'm an open-minded, enthustiastic person excited about meeting people and exploring the world. Easy-going, down to earth, energetic and always ready for the next adventure... which doesn't mean that I don't like quiet moments. Sometimes I just enjoy lying in a hammock daydreaming, or spending hours talking with friends over a coffee or a drink... So all in all, I'm a lively creature with a clear, but also pensive mind, and a big heart.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I enjoy most when I'm traveling is meeting people, locals who give me a taste of what life is really like in their city or country. Buenos Aires was the first place where I did couchsurfing - it was fabulous and my hosts made my stay quite unforgettable!

Interests

I enjoy dancing tango, doing pilates, going for bicycle rides, swimming, attending concerts, dance and theater performances, having dinner, coffee or drinks with friends, playing the guitar and reading . And when I'm traveling, which I am - by the way - very passionate about, I also love to go scuba diving and hiking.

Music, Movies, and Books

My taste in music ranges from 60ies R&B and rock 'n' roll (yes, I still love the Beatles!), 90ies britpop (Oasis etc.) and also trip hop (Portishead, Air), to 00ies indie and rock (the Strokes), and today's electro and house. More recently, I got addicted to bossa nova and, of course, tango music!
There are so many epic movies that it's hard to pick one... Maybe it's Persepolis or The Fabulous Destiny of Amélie Poulain, or just Noah Baumbach's recent stuff.
The same goes for books... I guess the two novels that probably touched me most are The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Lover by Marguerite Duras and Albert Camus' The Stranger.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One month of dancing tango in Buenos Aires.

Teach, Learn, Share

When it comes to more practical things, I can help you with foreign languages, mostly English and German, and I can teach you how to swim crawl and butterfly style ;-) I guess I can learn something about live from you (and vice versa), and maybe how to better dance tango? In any case, I'd love to share thoughts, ideas and opinions with you.
