Overview
About Me
I'm a friendly, outgoing, performance artist with a good sense of humor. I love, love, love, outdoor adventuring. Especially kayaking. I paddle at least two days a week. Sometimes I manage to sneak a paddle in before work. Those days are the best! I have also been know to dancy dance on occasion as well (read: whenever possible).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My Canadian BFF is getting married in Toronto on July 24th. I figured I would take this opportunity to kayak some Canada! I would love a host who would delight in showing me a river or two, or point me in that direction.
Interests
The outdoors! Hiking, biking, kayaking, snowboarding, swimming, playing in the rain, jumping from a plane, enjoying the creepy crawlies of nature. Did I say swimming? Swimming. I also enjoy art of all kinds, culture of all kinds, urban gardening, night life, and excellent conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books
I mostly listen to the college radio station because my tastes in music are really eclectic. I enjoy music with dancy vibes, female vocals, syncopated rhythms, and really most music that doesn't scream at me, promote violence, or degrade others.
I love all books by Dr. Seuss, especially the Lorax. The Tao of Physics was life changing for me. The Giving Tree always makes me cry. World of Ideas expands my brain all the time.
I'm not as good at movies. But Total Recall is a fav. I have seen others, but I can't think of them right now. My Life as a Dog was good.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Skydiving for my birthday!!!! I want to do that again, and again, and again...
Teach, Learn, Share
I am happy to share creative energy. I'm pretty decent at making art from anything. I like to learn about culture, the environment, gardening, and what people are doing to make their communities better. I like to share laughs, and drinks, and adventures. I can teach you about the little things, and how to find them. I particularly like to learn about cooking, mostly because I like to try new things, so new recipes and food combinations are exciting for me.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my knowledge of art, nature, legos, activism, interventionism as it relates to art, carpentry and other sculptural skills, gardening. I can also share some stories of the south where I've lived for the last 7 yrs.
