Hi, I'm Heidi! I'm new to couch surfing, interested in seeing how it works and in meeting new people. I'm from Norway, but am currently studying in Townsville, Australia. I like to believe I'm easy going and pretty relaxed, reliable and a decent person.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love travelling the world, and believe that the best way to experience places are to engage with local people and get involved in the local culture. To me, staying in hotels and doing touristy stuff doesn't let you do this. Couch surfing seems like a great way to make new friends and broaden both my own and your perspective on the world.

Interests

I love being active and experiencing as much as possible. I enjoy travelling, reading, going to concerts and theatres, getting lost in cities, good food and drink, music and cultural differences. I play a little guitar and sing in the shower.

During my growing up I've tried dancing, basketball, tennis, horseback riding and acting, and I've recently discovered Ultimate Frisbee. I'm not very good but make up for it in effort!

Music, Movies, and Books

Love fantasy books and sci-fi shows. Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, The Hobbit, The Hunger Games, Ink Heart, Sword of Truth, Doctor Who, Sherlock, Star Wars. I'm a proper geek and love it!

I also enjoy action movies, both blockbusters and not. Old James Bond movies are fantastic, as is Avengers and the Dark Knight.

Sucker for Disney and other animation movies. I know every line from The Emperor's New Groove and Ice Age. In Norwegian. Try me!

I listen to music genres stretching from disney to pop to punk rock, favourite bands/artists including Counting Crows, Adele, Flogging Molly, Jarle Bernhoft, Kaizers Orchestra, Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits and Bad Religion.
Guilty pleasure: Blank Space by Taylor Swift.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Went scuba diving for a week at the Great Barrier Reef. I've been diving since I was 14, but mostly in Norway. The amount and size of fish and the biodiversity absolutely blew my mind over and over again. Truly amazing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will be tidy and neat, clean after myself and be a good couch surfer. I like to believe I'm easy to get along with and I'll love to hang out with you if it works out. If I have the opportunity I will bring food or drinks from Norway, and at least good stories about my country!
