About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To go with the flow and not let opportunities pass me by

ABOUT ME

I'm friendly and easy going. I like listening and learning from others. I enjoy meeting new people and getting to know them.

I love drinking tea because I'm British but I like drinking other things too. I'm generally happiest when I'm busy, but also enjoy chilling out.

I'm super active and I love cycling and running. Get me talking about bikes and I won't shut up, I will convince you to start cycling if you don't already. I like running half marathons and would like to do a triathlon.

I enjoy checking out new bands (indie, alternative), going out and dancing.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything happens for a reason. I follow my intuition and let it guide me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've recently moved to Bristol with my job so I'm new to Bristol and I'm still finding out what an exciting place it is. I'd love to host Couchsurfers who'd like to explore the city and share some laughs over a meal, maybe go to a gig or the cinema.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've met some lovely Couchsurfers who have helped me in my recent European travels. I haven't hosted anyone yet as I recently moved in to my flat, could you be my first CS-er?!

Interests

Cycling, running, anything outdoors.
Photography, design, architecture.
Music, gigs, cinema.

Music, Movies, and Books

I LOVE Music: The Shins, Elbow, Hot Chip, Daft Punk, Justice, kavinsky (infact any French Electro Pop). We Are Scientists, Seth Lakeman, Choir of Young Believers, Ben Howard, First Aid Kit, Bombay Bicycle Club, Yeasayer, The XX, Phoenix, Midlake, Bon Iver, The National, John Mayer, Alabama Shakes, LCD Soundsystem, 2 ManyDJs/Soulwax, Villagers, Everything Everything, and loads more...

I love movies, but too many to list here. I guess if I told you that I love any soundtrack by John Williams or Danny Elfman that would give you a clue as to the type of thing I like. I enjoy independent films and a bit of European cinema too.

Books: I enjoy an inspiring read so often it's an autobiography or something based on real life challenges. Loved Bear Grylls' recent book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've seen the Northern Lights in Tromso, Norway - totally amazing, can't believe how lucky I was!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to improve my extremely basic French and German. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't speak another language fluently so I would like to work on this in 2013. In return, I can help anyone looking to improve their English. I trained as an EFL teacher last year.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Netherlands, Norway, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
