About Me

Currently traveling for foreseeable future and unable to host.

CURRENT MISSION

Exploring the world: As of October 2020 I have completed visiting all 50 of the states in my home country, the USA. Now it's time to visit the land of my ancestors, the Scottish Highlands.

ABOUT ME

Couchsurfers, please do not request to be CS Friends if we've never met in person and please be verified before requesting to stay. Thank you.

I've traveled and adventured a bit in and out of the country, in fact I only have 1 to go until I've been to all 50 U.S. states. In 2016 I completed a two month boating adventure with fellow traveler Kevin McNally on a 20 foot demasted trailer sailor with a 9.9hp outboard. We started the trip on Lake Champlain mid-August, headed south on the Hudson River to the Erie Canal through numerous Locks all the way to Lake Oneida where we turned around to retrace our route back to Champlain, arriving back there mid-October. Then I traveled with my 18 year old daughter during her gap semester with our joint National Parks passport and in 2017. The winter of 2018 I lived on Kauai in Hawaii. After managing an inn in New Mexico for almost two years, I went to my last of the United States, Alaska, for 6 weeks. Next, traveling across the pond in December 2020 to Scotland.

PHILOSOPHY

Simplicity, Patience, Compassion.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I hosted folks for a couple of years while living in Fryeburg, Maine through spring 2016. It was awesome to expose my teen to folks from all over the place. We have also traveled and been hosted in several Couchsurfer homes.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We had some awesome surfers from NY to Israel, including furry friends. Everyone was welcome.

Interests

Love to be in the mountains on foot and skis, on and in water, gardening, reading, chess, music, traveling, food, friends and family.
