Music, Movies, and Books

(Music) The Kooks, the Cribs, Arctic Monkeys, Mystery Jets, Foals, Ed Sheeran, Charlie Brown Jr., PitBull, Daddy Yankee, and Yo-Yo Ma are some of the artists and bands I listen to. For studying I turn on smooth jazz on Spotify or Pandora, without them a lot of homework assignments wouldn't have been accomplished. (Books)I'm a junkie for British literature okay I'll admit it! Jane Austen is my homegirl for life. I should diversify but I find myself reading or re-reading the works of Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde, Charlotte Brontë, Thomas Hardy or Dickens relentlessly. (Movies) Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is my favorite movie. Foreign, foodie and /or any of those British literature movie remakes are what I usually end up watching at home.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Back in 7th grade my family and I won a trip to Cancun, Mexico. My dad literally filled out one of those little pamphlets at the grocery store that said, "Enter to win a trip of a lifetime" and we actually won! Winning this trip allowed my family and I to experience our first trip abroad. I was only thirteen at the time but this wonderful memory is still fresh in my head. During my vacation we went to the Chichen Itza ruins where I climbed the Mayan pyramids (when they allowed tourists to do so) and was able to see the Jaguar Throne up close. It was such an amazing experience. I still annoy my friends with that same old story. But seriously how could you not brag about something like that?

Teach, Learn, Share

I went to culinary school and have been working in the restaurant industry since I was 16 years old. I would be more than willing to cook, bake and/or help out in the kitchen. Even cleaning because let's be honest someone has to do the dishes. Go ahead sign me up to clean I'll do it with a smile!

I adore languages both learning and teaching. My Spanish and Portuguese speaking abilities could always use improvement so don't hesitate to correct me. I'm also a decent artist whether that's painting, drawing and/or sketching I can definitely make you something artsy as a thank you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share lots of information, guidance and perspectives on everything relating to the Grand Canyon State. I'm a proud Arizona native and am happy to help with anything relating to hiking, traveling and/or exploring the southwest.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, England, Mexico
