CURRENT MISSION

I am in South Korea now until the end of August 2009 teaching English. I live in Suji, an hour outside of Seoul, but go into Seoul almost every weekend. At the same time, I'm traversing spaces between cultures, literally and mentally.

ABOUT ME

My Paradise:

A lair with:
1). portals to different places I choose
2). a holodeck (of the Star Trek variety)
3). a huge library
4). a museum filled with my knickknacks, both little figurines I have brought or have made
5). my favorite fruit: mangoes from the Phillipines
6). my favorite pastry: egg tarts from Hong Kong

I'm also a new member, hoping to meet some great people here.

I was born in California, raised in Hong Kong for 8 years, then moved back to the US grade 4 onward. I stayed in California for 2 years, then moved again to New Jersey to begin grade 6, and have been there through university. I identify with the space between Hong Kong and the USA- I guess I can be a cultural hybrid.

Music: I like classical music (favorite composer is Chopin), British rock (Coldplay, Travis, Snow Patrol, etc.), some old songs (like Air Supply), and some Japanese songs (from anime or individual artists like Arashi and Thelma Aoyama).
