ABOUT ME
Having a calm, patient and profound personality, I'm a good communicator, open minded, compassionate and curious about new experiences, always trying to further my personal development. I can get crazy about music, partying and going out, but I often need also some personal refuge and to spend time on my own.
PHILOSOPHY
You reap what you sow
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Interests
I love music, fashion, design, shopping as well as cooking/ good food and wine. I am looking for new tracks and sounds whenever I have the time. I also need to do some exercise, so usually I go swimming twice or three times/ week. Running is an alternative. I am still quite a good tennis player too and in wintertime I am up for Skiing or Snowboarding. Over the past few years I am also very much into Meditation and Yoga. Like this I try to stay balanced, when I get too much input due to excessive shopping or other rather superficial activities...;)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: from electronic/ minimal techno music (current favourite album: This Bliss by Pantha du Prince) and independent Pop/ Rock all the way to HipHop and House, as long as it is no stupid format radio droning
Movies: dito, I would rather go for independent prodcutions. Recent favourites are "A single man" or "Little Miss Sunshine". But sometimes I need too watch a Feelgood-Blockbuster too
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One of the deepest pleasures I felt inside was when I went on an open water swim trip in Croatia in 2009. Swimming in the deep blue sea and hopping from one island to the other with fellow swimmers released so many endorphins in my body that I am still benefitting until present!
Probably the biggest challenge in my life was the 10 day Vipassana Meditation course/ silent retreat at the Dhamma Thali Centre in Jaipur/ India in March this year. An experience which has had a great impact on my every day life ever since.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am particularly interested in becoming a good photographer and am currently working on that, so any guidance or exchange of experience is highly appreciated. The same applies to cooking, particularly when it comes to Asian cuisine!
