About Me
ABOUT ME
I am someone who is curious for other people´s "worlds", welcoming surprises since they mostly have something positive within and (well, almost always!) enjoying the very moment.
PHILOSOPHY
If in doubt... - just do it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
.........right now I am off travelling myself! .........
When I´m at home: if you are looking for company for a jazz concert or a cycling tour (on weekends), feel free to contact me!
In general, hosting is rather difficult for me: I share a flat with two flat-mates and our only common room is the kitchen where there´s just room enough to cook and to sit together. For CS friends I would happily squeeze in an extra mattress in my room, which would be fine with me (and my flatmates) for a couple of days, but it´s just not enough space to host people on a regular basis.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I´ve discovered couchsurfing 4 years ago in France and I was truly overwhelmed by the hospitality and trust of the people I have met. I want to thank all of my hosts not only for the couch but also for the company and help and simply for the pleasure of getting to know you. I would be very glad to welcome you one day in Berlin!
Interests
I enjoy going to/ being in...
- concerts: all sorts of hand-made music,
- nature: cycling, hiking, kayaking, camping and/or just enjoying,
- movies and theatre: preferrebly independent up to experimental,
- arts and galleries: getting lost in somebody else´s visions.
- arts
- concerts
- movies
- music
- jazz
- cycling
- hiking
Music, Movies, and Books
Picking out favourites seems to be quite difficult for me, so here is just a most recent one (of each category) which I liked:
- concert: Marc Ducret Métatonal (French Jazz Sextet)
- movie: Lion - A Long Way Home
- book: Death in the Andes, by Mario Vargas Llosa
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing that I could experience was the fall of the Berlin wall and the opening up of the borders, which made a whole new world accessible to me (mentally as well as physically). It made possible an amazing variety of activities and choices – up to living and working in the (sub)tropical region of Amazonia in Bolivia for several years - about which I can tell you much more once that we meet ;-)
Teach, Learn, Share
I´m more into sharing, which I think couchsurfing is mostly about (learning usually comes along with it anyway): above all .....
What I Can Share with Hosts
......the joy of life!
