ABOUT ME

An open-minded and extrovert person, some my friends tell me that I'm too talkative, some think that I'm very good listener. Probably it depends on the partner and the situation. Usually I'm optimist, hoping that the things are always going in the better way. However, I prefer to plan and organise my life. Some my friends even think that I'm a system "freak"! But I'm sure it is overestimated;)

PHILOSOPHY

I have 3 main principles:
Live your life as you want but never limit the similar right of other people to do it.
Don't forget your influence on the others and environment you're living in.
Your life is as you think it is, therefore think positive!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had very good experiences with CS. I have mostly hosted guest and not visited so much myself but I plan to use this wonderful traveling method more in my trips. I have found some really good friends through CS and I think it has been for me the biggest value of this project. Also I had very good experience in Van where with the help of CS I met a guy who was a big assistance for me in the environment where few people speak languages I do. I have found that it is a wonderful project!

Interests

I'm interested in meeting new people, new experiences and new stories. I like very much history, especially I'm interested in the different national narratives to build up a global mixture of the history;) Also I'm interested in politics and international relations. I enjoy a lot my time in the art galleries, concert halls, theater. And when I'm entering to the history museum then don't expect me to leave it quickly, I really take time for it;)

I prefer to communicate with people but I never say no to a good book. Books are also my weakness and the best company during my trips when I travel alone. On the other hand, I'm open for joining any travel company during my trips and I have had some very nice experiences with it from my trip to Turkey.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hard to say... in music I prefer classic or ethno/folk music, that's for sure. My favorite event in Estonia is Viljandi Folk Festival, it is exactly right place for me and mainly because of the music I can listen there.

About movies and books it is already difficult to say because everything depends on mood. There is one movie I can list for sure: Piedras (Stones) by Ramon Salazar. Other my favourites are Amelie, Lord of the Rings and I like very much Almodovar's creation. In general I prefer social dramas or historical movies.

In literature, I like much classical Russian literature - Tolstoi, Dostoevsky. I also like to read lot of history books and books about my academic field collective memory, international relations and politics.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can give you a good overview of the history of my town and also Estonia and Baltic states. In addition, I have focused on the history of Russia. So, I'm able to give you a basic of Russian history as well:)

I'm open for new experiences and I'm curious to get to know more about the other countries and cultures. The way how people live and what are their values. Also languages are interesting for me.
