ABOUT ME
Moved to KL in early July 2016. Before that, I worked in Toulouse, France for a year and a half. And before that, California, Ohio, and Texas for work, spent a few months in China, was in Atlanta for school, and grew up in Florida.
Some people think I look Chinese, others think I look Malaysian. I guess it depends on how tan I am at the time? Regardless, I am actually Filipino/Japanese and I was born and raised in the US.
Until 10th grade, I was at schools that had mostly white students. After I transferred high schools, I was exposed to so much more stuff. I didn't realize how much I was missing out on (a recurring theme in my life). My friends all came from such different backgrounds (India, China, Korea, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Nigeria, Colombia, UK, etc) We all picked up a little bit of everybody else's culture and that left me craving more.
PHILOSOPHY
Success in life is directly related to how many awkward questions you're willing to ask

Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Math and English, airplanes and jet engines, cooking! I've picked up some random card games and drinking games through my travels too. Those are always fun to share :)
Learn: Harmonica, Taijichuan, cooking. History - it sheds light on culture, geography, language, and all that stuff that gives people a sense of identity. It helps you understand "why?". And to paraphrase a friend, it's amazing to see the lengths at which countries will go to ruin one another. Thanks nationalism!
