I always liked to travel. As a child with my parents. as Teenager by hitchhiking in England, Greece, Italy. Since then in many countries. Often in Africa, partly with my children, when they were young. I slept in slums and huts and of course hotels and tents. And I always liked to meet people sometimes by chance e.g. when I once was stranded on a Amazonas boat breakdown. In the last years I began to take videos and post them on my site and on youtube. And on this journey I hope to have many possibilties to film and hope to meet others, who are also interested in videos.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I did couchsurfing and similar things sice my youth, my old CS account got lost. I always liked to meet new people of all kinds and countreys and had a lot of good experiences. Since my children are quite grown up I travel again quite a lot. This time CS is for me not so much about beeg hosted, though this could happen especially from 22 of Nov, when Andrea has to fly home. But it is more for meeting people, who ar interested to spend time with us perhaps showing us the Town or village or just hang out and have a drink or spend some hours in their home. We are flexible and abel to come everywhere with public transport, which we like much in Africa.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I visited once, many years ago, a village in Ghana, where the monkeys are sacred, it is called Fiema Baobeng, I plan to see what has changed since, and if somebody has been there reasently, I would like to hear about.

My climbing on the Kilimanjaro was also one of the most amazing things, I ever did.

Another thing was spending some nights in a slum in Mombasa and some days in a lonely hut in the Amazonas region with a man, whom i had met at the boat accident.
