Overview
About Me
I'm a simple guy.
Non-smoker, casual drinking, easy going, calm and mostly quiet (when I'm not loughting out loud like if there's no tomorrow). I might not be the most organized person in the world at home, but my mother taught me to respect, be polite and organized when at sombody else's place. She is a very wise woman!
I'm not a chatter. If you won't talk to me, I won't talk to you. But I would prefer that you do, because I really like learning from other people's experiences and perspectives. I enjoy late night talks about deeper thoughts on life.
I'm all about the outdoors. I love hiking and rock climbing. I prefer a ranny day in the forest than a sunny day in the city.
I love playing the piano; reading Jack London, Hermann Hesse and Amyr Klink; watching Rick and Morty; eating Chocolate; and listening to rock'n roll, violin, cello and piano.
I'm not a party boy. I prefer some bar table or sitting on the grass around a campfire. I like walking places. I find it the most efficient way to know better your neighborhood.
As I have written this section last, most of what you would want to know about me are on the next boxes bellow!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Honestly? At first, simply because it's free.
But also to get to know you, your life style and experiences. To better understand why are we different and how our similarities have brought us together.
I want to participate in this effort to connect people from different places around the world. To make a friend out of a stranger. To spread the word that human connection is good for the human soul and essencial for character growth.
I want to share my own experiences. I want to share my love for the mountains, my crazy philosophy theories, my knowledge about rocks, brazilian food and dragon ball. I would love to teach you something that you might find interesting enough to teach others.
Interests
- rock climbing
- playing the piano
Music, Movies, and Books
I listen mostly to rock'n roll. I specially like the old timers (chuck berry, ac/dc, steppenwolf, led zeppelin, creedence clearwater revival, etc).
I also enjoy instrumental music like piano, cello, violin and acoustic guitar
I enjoy reading Jack London, Hermann Hesse and true exploration and mountaineering stories.
I mostly enjoy stupid comedy movies - not afraid to admit! - but also thrillers and adventures.
I avoid watching series, because I know how addicted I get once I start one. Some that I have watched and liked were 24 Hours, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Rick and Morty, Hannibal, Friends and The Big Bang Theory.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saved a tinny baby lizard from drowning in a puddle.
Have built a 13 stories house of cards two times in the same rainny day.
Managed to stay Game of Thrones spoiler free till now.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm really interested in learning about other people's culture, life story and any deep garage made philosophy about life!
I love playing the piano. If you have one I would love to play something for you and hear you play too.
We could go to the outdoors, it would be fun to go out for some rock climbing or hiking.
If you, by any chance, is into rocks I have loads to teach you about geology.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Wine! What better way to start sharing experiences than having a glass of wine or beer?
I haven't travel many places around the world. I don't have one of these contemporary "flex jobs" that all you need is internet connection. Besides, my job is not the kind you go in to make money for travelling.
I have chosen job, life style and hobbies that require less money and more love, less internet and more connection to nature and people.
I've met people from all sorts of cultures from all the around the world. I've guided them through forests and mountains. I've seen them happy and I've seen them frightened. They have told me about their lifes, their home countries and dreams, and I taught them how to orientate using constellations in the sky and how to order a beer in my native language.
I've spent a lot of time in the mountains with friends. Those were, and still are, the best days of my life. Hiking, climbing, camping, wine, cachaça, "fire-talking", jokes, the best sunny days and the worst pouring storms.
These are the experiences I have to share.
