About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To celebrate the supreme worth of every person and to apprecate the beauty of the world and all of it's creatures.
ABOUT ME
I'm really open to new experiences and tend to look at the world in a curious and non-judging manner. I seek to understand people from the experiences of their own lives and not through the lenses of my own. I am a spiritual person, even if I'm not a dogmatic person. I have a liberal religious, social, and political philosophy and enjoy exchanging friendship and ideas with people from many walks of life. I'm not terribly impressed by status and affluence, although I don't necessarily hold it against people who have achieved it.
PHILOSOPHY
Every one of us has many gifts to share with the world - For me this means that a successful life means doing my part to give back more than I have received. And when you think about it this is quite a daunting task, because in my life I have been truly blessed by many things people have done.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to this experience with Couchsurfing although quite a few years ago (1981) I had a phenomenal time traveling with SERVAS and my wife and I have hosted dozens of SERVAS travelers and exchange students over the years. We have hosted visitors from over 30 countries in our home. This summer my wife and I traveled with couchsurfing and hospitality club hosts to Italy and stayed with and met the coolest people ever.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveled with our kids to the Galapagos islands and spent a week in nature and had a FANTASTIC time.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn languages and cultures, and I'm always happy to help others learn some of mine. I teach, I speak and I have quite a bit of experience and training in counseling and am happy to listen to others as they search for meaning in their own lives and experiences.
