About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To save enough money to go travelling in Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro...
ABOUT ME
I've just finished university here in Dublin and am trying to find a job that I'll like. I love travelling and have spent quite a bit of time in South America, especially Colombia most recently. I love the way it's possible to help people who are travelling, through showing them around or hosting them, through CS. I've always had very positive experiences when I've travelled, and nearly all positive while hosting!
PHILOSOPHY
Keep busy at all times and no sea perezosa- it'd be good if I could put this to practice more...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm living with other people in a rented house and we have a small spare room at the moment so it might be possible to host occasionally, although I don't think that my housemates would be comfortable with it too often...
If I can't host you then I'll do my best to meet up and show you around. It's so nice to meet people and I've made life-long friends from getting to know people through CS, so much appreciated!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I couchsurfed in Argentina/Chile/Paraguay (under a different login- Tirintino) in 2005/2006 and then in 2008 and 2009 in Venezuela and Colombia. I've been hosting on and off since Feb 2008, and have really enjoyed meeting a huge range of people. In Venezuela and Colombia, Couchsurfing made my trip incredible, it was sooooo much fun, thanks everyone...
Interests
Travelling, meeting people, practising Spanish and Portuguese, reading, soccer, learning about different cultures (my degree was based on this), being in the countryside, lying in the grass in the sun
- reading
- traveling
- socializing
- soccer
Music, Movies, and Books
Um, not sure what to write here- I like most types of music, travel books, films like Little Miss Sunshine, The Royal Tenenbaums, etc..
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Oh, this is the part where I feel inadequate and boring! Um, I've seen lots of amazing things when I was in South America, too many to refer to- I've not done anything amazing though. I'd like to! Does trekking to la Ciudad Perdida count?
Teach, Learn, Share
I've worked in English language schools since 2002 and have come across a huge range of nationalities, so I suppose it's made me more accustomed than most to differences in cultures. My degree was a great way to understand different perspectives also and to broaden the horizons.
