Overview
About Me
Hi!
I'm Helder, 26yrs from Portugal. Since April 2018 I'm traveling around, mostly as a Workaway volunteer after quiting my job.
My interest is not only to be in different countries, I want to deeply know more about them, try the local flavours, go to the local places.
I am low budget traveller. So my journey goes through super cheap hostels, sleeping buses, sleeping trains, hitchhiking, local markets food or free stuff at the volunteering places.
I started traveling back in 2014 when I moved to Singapore to finish my masters degree and work. Since then, there was always this curiosity to go, go and go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've been holding myself from trying couchsurfing over the years. I mostly use cheap accommodations. Still, many times you find yourself in an hostel not interacting with anybody. I guess couchsurfing can be a way to connect more with people on the places you're traveling.
