About Me

I am a 23 year old, fun loving, adventurous person who is currently having some time off before I start law school in London.

I recently spent 5 months in New Zealand and Australia, followed by a little trip around Europe, and I am spending this coming summer working on a summer camp in California. I have also travelled around South East Asia, so I have plenty of stories to share!

I am a friendly, happy person who loves meeting new people in new countries and I think that couch surfing is an excellent way to do this!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet as many new people as I can while I travel. I believe you learn so much from different countries and cultures, and I think this helps you grow a lot as a person. Some of my best memories from New Zealand were when I stayed with local families and was really a part of their lives.

I am still a newbie to Couch Surfing - so far I have only stayed with one host, but I had the best experience ever and I really want to continue adding memories and friends to the Couch Surfing bucket!

Interests

I love traveling - I am trying to conquer the world one country at a time!

I am a big animal lover - my pet tortoise is my baby!

I love playing sports - rock climbing, hockey, running, skiing, swimming, DIVING is my new found obsession after 2 weeks of diving in Bali

Playing the keyboard/piano and learning the guitar (very slowly)

Baking, cooking, reading, hanging out with friends drinking tea and eating cake (yum), and generally having a good time.

More than anything, I love trying new things, having adventures and learning as much as I can from the people I meet along my journeys.

Music, Movies, and Books

Books - as many and as much variety as possible! Harry Potter is obviously amazing (at home I live 10 minutes from the studios where it was filmed!!), the Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Gone Girl, Cecelia Ahern stuff, Jane Eyre (I'm trying to get through the classics), Hunger Games, Jodie Picoult etc etc

Music - I like a mix of old and new; especially Bastille, Imagine Dragons, the 1975, Ed Sheeran, Ben Howard, Coldplay, the Killers, Rise Against, Mayday Parade, 30 Second to Mars, Kids in Glass Houses, Jimmy Eat World.

Movies - I like movies but people always laugh at how few I'v actually seen! So this is something I'm working on improving :). I generally prefer TV series - Greys Anatomy, Breaking Bad, Suits, Orange is the New Black, Desparate Housewives...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try and look at life as one amazing adventure; and I've been lucky enough to have too many cool moments to list.

BUT having said that, a few top ones are swimming with hundreds of wild dolphins in New Zealand, jumping out of a plane at 15,000ft, and diving with sharks & turtles in Bali.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe everything happens for a reason, and I try to embrace every opportunity that comes my way! You usually find that when something "doesn't go to plan" or go as it should, that something better happens instead. Life has a way of turning things out for the best. So I try to go with the flow and embrace stuff :) I think life isn't about finding yourself, it's about creating yourself and the most exciting things happen outside your comfort zone.

So I want to meet other people who have similar thoughts and have stories and memories to share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to think I'm great company - I'm chatty, friendly and have lots of stories to share. I am also a good cook and great baker (!) and when I am back living in London I am hoping to be able to have people back if they ever want to visit!
