About Me
Hi, I'm Eleni, or you can call me Helen.
I'm half Greek-half Russian, I was born in Thessaloniki and have lived there ever since. I like it here, but I also really want to leave and try living anywhere else.
My favorite things include: random live concerts, going out for a beer, doodling in my sketchbook, experimenting with cooking, taking a long walk with a friend, relaxing and watching some TV show, and having "deep" conversations (about emotions and ideas and the perceptions of the universe and aliens and goals in life). I like having a little weirdness in my life.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a kid I've travelled a lot with my family and now, I want to continue this journey, because travelling is a beautiful experience. I think Couchsurfing is a great way to do that: I hope to visit new places, as many as I can, try new food and, of course, meet awesome people, listen to their stories, share ideas and experiences & have fun. Plus, I think hosting others seems really fun & when I get a place of my own I'd love to give it a try.

Music, Movies, and Books
Watching movies is one of my favorite things. I especially like clever movies that play with your mind, but also I love subtle humor, beautiful pictures, and weird plots. So I can't say I have a favorite genre, I've enjoyed most of the films I've watched.
Example of movies I absolutely loved: Fargo, Fight Club, The Big Lebowski and almost everything Wes Anderson has made...
My music taste is under construction. I used to just listen to very specific things (like metal) and now I'm exploring what else is out there.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I don't think I've done One Big Amazing Thing, at least not yet. But I've done a series of smaller, individual things that I think are pretty cool. Some of them are: I've touched a piece of a meteorite, eaten straight from the production line of a factory, collected shiny rocks from an abandoned mine (not worth anything but still), and other things I can't remember right now.
I don't know, maybe I'm still waiting for my life's big adventure. For now, I enjoy the little things..
What I Can Share with Hosts
