ABOUT ME

Considerate traveller with a dry sense of humour. Not a fan of comfort zones. Grew up in the UK but lived in South Africa for 4 years when I was studying at the University of Cape Town. Learnt to play Ultimate frisbee when I was out there and continue to compete and coach.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been an informal couch surfer for a while - but after hearing so many friends' great experiences with this site I thought I'd make it official. Couchsurfed while in the US in October 2013 and absolutely loved it.

Interests

I'm an Oral Historian by trade which means I interview people about their lives. In other words, I'm really good at looking interested as people tell me about themselves for hours on end. I do quite a bit of charity work including mentoring young people. I also love to play and coach Ultimate Frisbee.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiking up the side of Table Mountain in the early hours of the morning, hearing the call to prayer and watching the city come alive.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a qualified Ultimate Frisbee coach so can definitely teach you how to throw a disc and get involved in the sport. I love to cook but always want to learn about different cuisines and techniques. Oh and I'll happily cook as a thank you for your hospitality.
