About Me
(they/she, ella/elle)
2024 - I've embarked on my first solo cycling tour - starting with the UK and we'll see where the road leads.
I love solo travel and taking my trips slow. I prefer to stay in a place for at least a week to get a sense of the pace of life and to explore without plans and expectations. I love meeting other travelers and locals and learning about other ways of thinking/living/exploring.
Cada dia quiero mejorar mi español. Me encanta practicar!
🏳️ 🤍🖤 🏳️⚧️
Summer of 2015 I went on a 3 month trip through Europe (and a little in Morocco) without much of a plan past my plane tickets there and back. Since then I've traveled a lot for work, but less for myself. April 2023 I went Spain for a month to improve my Spanish and reconnect with myself. I'd love to continue traveling both abroad and within the US.
Expectations are premeditated resentments - I try to focus on letting go of expectations. It's hard work, but it's helped me a lot.
I grew up in Northwest Arkansas but lived in New Mexico for 7 years for University. I studied fine art photography, but am still discovering what I'm passionate about.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I found out about the Couchsurfing community early in 2015 and started hosting while I was still living in Santa Fe, NM. I loved experiencing that city as if I was new again. I love connecting with other travelers and learning about their trips.
I love how open the people I meet on Couchsurfing have been. There's always a new adventure, a new perspective, and new experiences to share.
Interests
A perfect day for me is visiting a market, packing a picnic, finding an interesting book, biking to a beautiful park, relaxing in the sun, doodling with watercolors, and sharing the day with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Found out that a bird shitting on your head really is good luck. George RR Martin bought me enchiladas once (unrelated to the bird incident, unfortunately)
Teach, Learn, Share
Want to make art? Want to cook? Want to try to identify all the local trees? Want to look at art books? I want to hear your stories.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to learn. I used to know the word for hiccups in 17 languages (though most of them sound very similar). Teach me some interesting words? I can teach you some as well.
Si hablas espanol, me gustaria practicar mi espanol contigo.
I've learned some French and Norwegian but not enough for a good conversation!
