Overview
About Me
I'm from Rockford, Michigan, a smallish city a bit north of Grand Rapids. I work as a waitress and bartender at the moment while I'm traveling and finishing up my associate’s degree. I have a deep passion for other cultures so right now I'm trying to soak up as much of the world as I can. I LOVE hiking and being outside and I'd have to say it's my favorite pastime. I've taken French but am by no means fluent yet, but I do hope to become so someday and I’m hoping to learn some other languages along the way. So for now, my days consist of work, spending time with family and friends, doing things outside, cleaning, and trying new things
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I heard it was a good way to find somewhere to stay in a time of need. It started with a flight getting canceled at the end of a trip when I was flat broke and I desperately needed somewhere to go. It's an amazing way to be able to help others and share the best of your home
Interests
Hiking, biking, roller blading, long walks, listening to music, watching movies, singing, writing, dancing... I'll try anything once.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love most types of music, a lot of the upbeat kinds of stuff mostly though: r&b, pop, dance, Latin, and hip hop. As for movies I absolutely love them. I have a collection of over 600 hundred back home but I mostly enjoy comedies. I like books but tend to spend more time doing activities and things outside rather than reading these days, so I don't have a very engaged book life.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
SKYDIVING! Don’t think about it- just do it. One of the best decisions I’ve ever made was making that leap out of the plane
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach: Kindness
Learn: Gratitude
Share: Jokes
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm easy to talk to and fun. I'm very respectful of others around me and have no problem helping out with anything around the house if I have to. I like learning about the places I'm in and it's definitely easier to do when you're staying with a local. I don't want to just go to these places, I want to sponge up the culture and feel a part of it.
