About Me

Currently living in Manchester, from the North East of England by way of Glasgow where I studied and lived for six years.

Keen to meet new people and get involved but equally as happy spending time exploring on my own.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To facilitate easier travel, meet some cool people and hopefully get to know a place a little bit more intimately than I would had I stayed in a hostel/hotel. My past experiences with couchsurfing have been nothing but positive, and I've made some fantastic friends through it that I still speak to four years on.

Interests

Incredibly keen amateur photographer with an almost unhealthy habit for buying second hand SLRs on eBay. I'm also incredibly passionate about music and will find myself attending at least two festivals a year, however if I can't make it to a muddy field or sun-drenched Croatian beach I'm blessed to be in Manchester where the club and gig scene is incredible.

I also love swimming.

Music, Movies, and Books

What an impossible list to write! I listen to a lot of electronic music but this is often punctuated with Prince, Fleetwood Mac, John Martyn, Talking Heads, late 90s/early 2000s R+B and hip hop. I love discovering new artists, so recommend me something.

As an English graduate I pretend to have read more books than I actually have but my favourite authors are Raymond Carver and Donna Tartt.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Unlike seemingly everyone else on CS I haven't been skydiving, but I have climbed three of South Korea's highest mountains.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definitely share a laugh, a pint, or a cup of tea if pints aren't your thing, a rizla, a stick of filters, a sunset stroll on a sandy beach, a lingering gaze. I can also make a pretty good daal.

Countries I’ve Visited

Albania, Canada, Croatia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Poland, Portugal, Romania, South Korea, Thailand, Ukraine

Countries I’ve Lived In

England, Scotland
