About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the planet with soft footprints. Meet new and different people, open my mind and escalate my learning. Most of all - have fun and don't waste a day!
ABOUT ME
I've done lots of different things in my life and I'm fascinated with human nature and what makes each person who they are.
Family time is important to me and I work hard and sometimes play hard, but usually I take care of myself because I plan to hold on to my good health and ensure I'm fit enough to do anything and go anywhere ...for a long time into the future.
I'm very social and love to be around people and entertain at my house. I don't smoke and I'm clean, tidy and considerate of others. I'm having fun and always learning to look at life differently.
PHILOSOPHY
I believe in the "Pay it Forward" concept ...or karma -getting back what you put out into the Universe, all of us being connected etc. I enjoy helping people and always try to be kind.
Doing good things; contributing; considering; sharing; understanding; respecting; protecting and rejoicing in life, our planet and fellow humans - these are important to me and I try to lead by example.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I discovered the CS Project in 2011 and it is totally in keeping with the way I've lived my life so far. I have hosted many overseas students in my home and welcomed travellers to my home that I've met in all types of random ways. Congratulations to those who have formalised this process. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE During the first part of my life in New Zealand I met quite a few back-packers and hitch-hikers that I was able to help in different ways including accommodation or meals at my place. The same has happened in Australia - I like to contribute to people's travelling experience and for them to say what friendly people they met in my country. In 2011 I started hosting travellers via this CS site and met some interesting people who were very grateful to stay with me and enjoyed my hospitality. When I travelled in 2011 I was fortunate to couch surf in Scotland and in Italy. The experience was fabulous for me and travel is so much more interesting when you find out how people live in a particular place. I find it so much more rewarding than doing the usual tourist trail. I travelled for 3 months in 2017 and couch surfed successfully. In 2018 I was in Europe again, France Italy Switzerland, sometimes couch surfing.
Now in 2023 I’m ready to return to Europe and widen my circle of friends and experiences..

Teach, Learn, Share
I know New Zealand and Australia and I'm keen to share knowledge and promote travel to these wonderful and friendly places. Also I can help people improve their English language skills. I want to improve my Italian conversation.
