ABOUT ME

hey guys,my name is Helen. I am from Germany. Since June I've been working in Boston. I love it!!!I am an honest person who likes to have fun and being silly. I love to laugh. I've been taking care of a toddler and an infant so I am responsible and trustworthy.I love meeting people from all over the world, to get to know new cultures and making new friends. I love to be independent. These are a few reasons why I came to the USA. For the future I made a lot of plans to see a lot of other Countries e.g. Australia. Hopefully I'll have enough time because I am planning to study to become a teacher in Englisch and Biology.Well, don't think I am boring just because of my desire to work as a teacher. I just like to be on the safe side in regards to my economic status.What else could I write about my personality?! I definitely love to socialize and get to know people with a good sense of humor. =)

PHILOSOPHY

How do you live your life?I am enjoying my life. I try to be kind and honest. I believe in, the way you treat people the same way they will treat you. A good sense of humor is a great importance to be able to enjoy life. I am the kind of person who wants to live their dreams. One of them became true. Since I was thirteen I wanted to live in the USA, It just has taken into my head.All in all: Enjoy your life,be driven, try new things be passionate and honest!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Because I love to meet people all over the world and making new friendships, I thought about joining Couch surfing. It combines traveling and living with other people for a few days. You get the chance to get to know the cultures and traditions at first hand.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I went to Chicago my friend and me did "airbnb". It was fun.I'm reading a book about a German reporter who travelled around the world without any money. He did a lot of funny things. He also wrote a lot about Couchsurfing. So I thought I should try something new. And I did! it was the a great experience!

Interests

I like to hang out with my friends and family. I love being outside. I love watching good movies. Leonardo Dicaprio is one of my favorite actors, besides Johnny Depp. After I'm off I like to go for a run. It helps me to clear my mind.Sometimes I just like to go into a club with my friends to dance all night long. =) I also appreciate having nice and humurous conversations.

Music, Movies, and Books

What do you like to watch, read, and listen to?I prefer action and comedy movies. One of my favorite movies is " the departed". I like to read non-fiction books. I am very interested in the medieval times. So this is what the books are usually about which I read.Regarding to the music I listen to almost everything what I like. I am eclectic and It usually depends on my mood. Like classical music, house music etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Share a story of something that really struck you.>Last year I went to NYC with my friends. We were standing in front of the big Christmas tree at the Rockefeller Center when a guy asked one of my friends to take a picture of him and his girlfried. When she wanted to take the second photo of them he proposed to her. It was unexpected and an honor to be part of it.

Teach, Learn, Share

What kinds of skills or information could you share with someone? What would you like to learn?I used to have piano lessons for seven years. When I reached puberty I got so cool I ceased attending my piano lessons. I am still playing the piano but I regret what I've done. If I would have kept attending my piano lessons I'd be much better in playing the piano. THE OLDER YOU GET THE WISER.I am curious and like to learn new things.
