ABOUT ME

It's true, I'll admit it: I'm a GEEK. But a nice one I assure you.
I love meeting new people and travelling to new places and can't wait to meet like-minded people. I'm a proper wildlife-nut. I've just spent my summer playing with sea turtles in Greece and enjoy being outside as much as possible.

It's cheesy, but I believe you should do what makes you happy, even if it seems risky.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have loved my only CouchSurfing experience so far and can't wait to do it again!I can't wait to be able to show others the same hospitality that has been shown to me.

Interests

I'll try anything once!Love being outside, especially if it involves nature.  I love anything that involves the water, I've snorkelled a lot, and have recently tried scuba diving and surfing (I wasn't very good at the latter...), but even just being by the sea is enough to make me happy.Other than that, I LOVE food - I enjoy cooking, but not so much when the pressure's on; love coffee and cakes.  Enjoy seeing new places, doing new things, going to the cinema, going for drinks with friends, the usual kind of stuff.   I'm happy listening to any kind of music, and wish I was more musical myself.  Tried to teach myself the guitar, but have failed miserably so far...

Music, Movies, and Books

Where to begin on this one?Music and movie wise, I guess I'm mostly mainstream.  I'm happy listening to anything and it's very much dependent on what mood I'm in.  I've got music that ranges from Classical all the way through to Dub, via Classic Rock and Indie-type stuff.  Half the time, I don't even know what I'm listening to.Movie wise, I've got to say I like a feel-good Hollywood movie, although, again, if I find anything random to watch, I'll happily sit through that too.  I've seen a few more independent British films, although I wouldn't be able to say what any of them are called.For books, my philosophy is stolen from Philip Pullman: 'Read like a butterfly, write like a bee' - for the reading part at least.  Basically, I'll read anything and everything I can find. I'm kind of into biographies and travel writings at the moment, but not so much that i wouldn't read anything else.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sitting behind a turtle as she lays her eggs and knowing that only a handful of people get to see this. Then watching the babies emerging two months later and begin their lives.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I could tell you a whole range of things about turtles and then geek-out on you about conservation and the environment in general.I'd like to learn anything - how do you know you can't do it if you've never tried?!
