About Me
Hi, Hola, Salut! :)
I'm Helena, a 19 year old who is just trying to figure out life - and the best way to do so in my eyes is to meet as many different people with their stories as possible! If you're going to host me, be prepared for a curious little chatterbox who is always open for new adventures and creating new stories to tell :) My slight liability to chaos often leads to the most unexpected things. I'd love to have a great time with my host, be it dancing all night long or cooking, drinking wine and having deep conversations on the prime of life or which superpower you'd like to have and why!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm actually a CS novice. Thought it was a great way to meet new people from all over the world and getting to know the places I want to visit from a different perspective than I would if I stayed at a Hostel or so.
Interests
Travelling and meeting new people - obviously. Apart from that I love cooking (or experimenting with food) in company, dancing till dawn, singing in the shower and unfortunatly when I'm wasted. Books, wise sayings and extraordinary words are my passion. There is literally no better thing than watching a thunderstorm while being wrapped up in a cozy blanket except from a good laugh on inappropriate stuff. I have a soft spot for sparkling useless things (my room ist stuffed with these) and funny headpieces & sunglasses. I'd rather be a cat and will always try to pet one if it crosses my way.

Music, Movies, and Books
Apart from heavy metal, folk music and this weird manga stuff I enjoy every type of music, especially if it tells a story or underlines a situation. Festivals are definitely my favourite places to be, it's always like a fall out of time into a whole better world. Bands I like to listen to are Muse, Depeche Mode, Oasis, The XX, Angus and Julia Stone, London Grammar, The Neighbourhood, Seeed, Marteria and many more.
Forrest Gump is my favourite movie EVER because it makes you laugh, cry and think in the most beautiful ways. Furthermore I'm ridiculously keen on melodramatic and historical love stories like Pearl Harbor and Pride&Prejudice.
I'm still waiting for my letter from Hogwarts and currently taking heart by immerging into the world of Game of Thrones.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That's a tough one.
So on my first festival three years ago I lost my friends in the crowd. But as I was all by myself, I met so many amazingly friendly and interesting people! After the last band I was on my way back to the camping side in company of four guys I just met and as we came across one of the food stands, 'one day' by Asaf Avidan was playing on the radio. Everyone was going crazy and we all jumped into a huge puddle and danced as if there was no tomorrow. It may not appear to be such an amazing thing but the memory of it always puts a smile on my face.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to make the best spaghetti bolognese in the world and a whole lot of drinking games. I also know how to dance macarena and the ketchup song.
Learning learning learning in any kind of way is what I love - so if you know some words in a different language or other interesting things, please feel free to share them with me ! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good mood and a whole lot of bad jokes!
