ABOUT ME

Ever since I was little I have been able to enjoy the joys and wonders of travelling: meeting new people, cultures, lifestyles, languages... and it has only left me wanting more. I love everything about cities: the life that lead to them, the life inside them, the life that will remain once they're gone.

If you lend me a pencil you'll have me happy for hours. I am that simple.
Oh, and my favourite day is deadlift day.

Music, Movies, and Books

My tastes vary a lot depending on the mood I'm in and the company I'm with... I enjoy most films that keep you thinking after a while on them, but I'm also up for those that lead to pointless and funny conversations.

Books: where to start? I'm very much into Hesse or Woolf. Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" left a footprint in me. I can't really stand Murakami, though (if you want to know why, hit me up! or better still, let's discuss it over coffee! Or wine!) And I am actively campaigning against Houellebecq's hate for life and happiness.

Music? Anything! sometimes I surprise myself, even. Blues, Funk, Ethnic, Classical, Latin, Electronic, Rock, Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Motown, Electroswing... I have a soft spot for deep vocals and voices that sound like they carry stories within them.

I can dance to anything, too (yes, that includes Bach).

Teach, Learn, Share

I love incorporating details from other cultures into my everyday life, such as songs, tastes, words, accents or points of view. I used to play the piano but now the piano plays me. I know a few magic tricks but I'm afraid I can't teach you those. I can open beer bottles with anything. I know a few curious etymologies by heart and the rest I can make up gracefully on the go. I have a good memory for random giraffe facts, I can whistle in five different ways and I bark when I'm happy.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude in the art of Picking Ripe Watermelons. I can share my secrets on the subject with you, if you like. And on everything else I know - it'd be my pleasure.
