About Me

Howdy!

I can't say I'm very good at writing about myself, but let's give it a go.

I'm an artist, explorer, sushi lover, air drummer and a shower singer, born and raised in Zagreb but currently living in Budapest. I studied graphic design, which is one of the things I'm very passionate about, so I'm lucky to say I absolutely love what I do for a living. Since then my interests have grown more and more, from illustration and animation to film making and music producing(most of which I'm still a noob at), and I keep wanting to learn more.

When I'm travelling, I don't think of myself as very demanding - my only obsession is to cover as much points of interest as possible, while I'm still there. I guess it's a bit of a fear-of-missing-out complex, as I don't like to visit the same city a lot of times (there's just too many places I want to travel to, and limited resources). Typical touristic sights are usually on my list, but I like to see some of the suburbia - where I usually find mind blowing street art and beautiful abandoned places (in cases where I have the guts to enter).

Note: I think this site is neither intended nor appropriate for searching for dates or hook ups. There are plenty of apps and sites for that so please stop giving this community a bad rep. If you send me a message implying that, I will ignore it, so please don't waste our time.

Whether you're here to meet up or host me, thank you for reading this,
I wish you all safe travels!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because it's a brilliant idea, the best way to meet the people you might not usually, you get the best advice and a glimpse into a local day-to-day routine.
A lot of people use it to save money, but I don't think anyone likes to feel as a free hotel service.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music.
It's hard to pinpoint exactly genres I like (I suck at categorizing music) and my taste in music is quite vast. I usually ask people to name their 5-10 favorite artists (which can kinda give you a picture) so here's what I would say: Plan B, Korn, Modestep, Zeds Dead&Omar Linx, SOAD, MotherMother, Stromae, Dub FX, Muse, Elemental...and many more :)

Movies.
I love watching movies, but I have to admit I probably have more movies I want to see then the ones I already have.
Tv shows though, can't get enough of. Too many binge-watch sundays.
Some of my favorites are (currently) Narcos, Stranger Things, Reign, Lost (yes I'm 10 years late), and Inkmaster (I love tattooing!) and older ones like True Blood, Heroes, Breaking Bad and Wolf's rain (amazing anime)

Books.
I don't read as much as I'd like to these days, but once upon a time I used to be a book worm. Children fantasy novels have always stuck with me, my favorites being Bartimaeus Sequence and the Inkheart trilogy and I've read all Dan Brown books I could get my hands on :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've been to a prison for a week voluntarily

( as a part of a project, I'm not crazy)

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you basic cooking (although I somehow predict I will often end up as a student), share some useful (yet random) lifehacks, show you how to do some basic calligraphy and teach you how to say whatever you want in croatian :D

What I Can Share with Hosts

A doodle to start with :) stories about my countless embarrassments and clumsy moments, deep talks about weird human nature and meaning of things, hopefully encourage them to explore their city and discover something new (you can learn a lot from tourists!)

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Malaysia, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Spain, Thailand, United States, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

Croatia, Hungary, Portugal
